Mike Watterston’s DOGBITES: Saturday @ Noon
Mike Watterston’s DOGBITES: Saturday @ Noon
Joe Strummer is 10 years gone. On Dec. 2 2002, we lost an incredible influence in modern rock n roll music. I love Joe Strummer’s music regardless of who he was playing with. We’ll get into The Clash & the Mescalero’s stuff. I’m pumped to play you tracks from a concert that Joe & the Mescaleros played about 2 weeks before his death in November of 2002. “The Acton Concert” …sounds killer!! We’ll also celebrate the birthdays of Felix Cavaliere (Rascals), Mike “D” Diamond (Beastie Boys), Billy Idol & Jimi Hendrix. I’ll get to new music from some old friends, Led Zeppelin & Neil Young. In celebration of the upcoming WNTI Benefit Concert at the Blairstown Theatre (Dec. 1st), we’ll do a track or two from the headliners that night, The Good Rats! Joe Strummer is 10 years gone. As usual, we'll get to lots of great stuff from the likes of Wilco, Shuggie Otis, Tom Tom Club, AC/DC, The Who, The Beatles and much more. The party starts at Noon right here at WNTI … Where Great Music Lives! Don't drink & drive. Stay safe this Holiday season.
