WNTI HIGHLIGHTS
Paul McCartney - Sept. 2004 SourcePaul McCartney shows no signs of slowing down musically in 2009. Later this summer, Paul, along with his old pal Ringo, plan on recording new music in California with none other than Bob Dylan. In July, McCartney will be the first ever rock act to play at Citi Field in Flushing, Queens, the new home of the New York Mets. Looking ahead to September, the entire Beatles Parlophone collection will finally be released in newly remastered, pristine sound. Both stereo as well as mono box sets will be available...Beatle fans have been awaiting the release of these compact discs for years. The magic moment arrives 9-9-09. The irony of this date would not be lost on Paul's old songwriting buddy, John Lennon. The number 9 loomed very large in John's life.

Spotlighted will be some of his work with The Beatles, Wings, and solo recordings. Paul McCartney is one of the greatest bass players in contemporary music. Vocally, there are few in his league. And the man has always had a special way with a melody...
