July 2, 2008 - Live Interview with rock band Smash Palace
July 2, 2008 - Live Interview with rock band Smash Palace Rock Band Smash Palace,
with Guest host Melanie Thiel
Smash Palace appeared on Sessions at Centenary on July 2, 2008 with guest host Melanie Thiel. The interview was a ton-o-fun for all involved!

Smash Palace is a Southern New Jersey based rock band that packs a wicked punch with influences from the Kinks and the Beatles, adding their own splash of power pop. This five member band features the husband and wife team of Stephen Butler and Dyanne DiSalvo, Phil Rizzo, Wally Smith and Mike Vogelmann.

Their latest release titled Everybody Comes and Goes features ten original tracks and one cover song, "I Want To Tell You". When asked why they decided to cover a Beatles song, front man Steve Butler answered, "I've always been a fan of the Beatles, especially George Harrison".

Zip Records discovered the band while they were appearing at the famous Cavern Club in Liverpool England. Not a bad way to get a record deal!

Put on your dancing shoes and get ready to rock with Smash Palace!

Guest host: Melanie Thiel of WNTI's Mid-Days With Mel (Mondays through Fridays 9 AM - Noon) and Contours (Sundays 7-8 AM).
