Video footage of Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose punching a photographer while boarding a flight at Los Angeles International Airport has surfaced on the Internet. The singer, who was reportedly traveling to a performance in Taipei, Taiwan, is seen warning the photographer before quickly approaching and hitting him. The video of the incident, which took place on December 10, leaked through TMZ.com.
Courtney Love lost custody of her only daughter. A Los Angeles Superior Court commissioner granted control over 17-year-old Frances Bean Cobain to Kurt Cobain's mother Wendy O'Connor and his sister Kimberly Dawn Cobain. No reason was given.
David Byrne and Fatboy Slim will release Here Lies Love, a concept album based on the life of Imelda Marcos, on February 23. Marcos, the former first lady of the Philippines, is known for her material extravagance. Byrne and Fatboy Slim have recorded 22 tracks that feature several guest vocalists.
A new movie about the famed 1970s female punk band the Runaways is set to debut at this year's Sundance Film Festival. The movie, titled The Runaways, stars Twilight's Kristen Stewart as guitarist Joan Jett, and Dakota Fanning as front woman Cherie Currie.
Foreigner are planning to tour extensively early next year. They are taking to the road to support their recently released 3-disc set, Can't Slow Down. The trek currently includes 25 shows in 13 states.
U2 bassist Adam Clayton is accusing his former personal assistant of taking millions of dollars from his accounts. Clayton has received a court order in Ireland to freeze assets of Carol Hawkins, who allegedly stole more than $2.5 million from him. Hawkins was fired last month for "misappropriating" the bassist's money. Since then, an investigation has found that she used the funds to buy an apartment in New York City, along with other things.
Weezer has canceled the rest of the dates for their Raditude tour, after doctors for frontman Rivers Cuomo recommended he not perform. Now three more California dates and a performance in Phoenix, Arizona, have been canceled as well. Cuomo was hospitalized immediately after the accident, but he is out now and recuperating.
Randy Bachman and Fred Turner have announced they are currently in the studio recording a new album of original material to be released in 2010 through E1 Music Canada and embark on a world-wide tour, kicking off at the Sweden Rock Festival on June 12, 2010.
The man who inspired the title character in the Oscar-winning movie "Rain Man" has died. Kim Peek was 58. His father, Fran, says Peek had a major heart attack Saturday morning and was pronounced dead at a hospital in the Salt Lake City suburb of Murray. Peek was a savant with a remarkable memory and inspired writer Barry Morrow when he wrote "Rain Man," the 1988 movie that won four Academy Awards.
Actress Brittany Murphy died of cardiac arrest, according to the Los Angeles coroner's office. The 32-year-old actress, who starred in "Clueless" and with Eminem in "8 Mile," was declared dead at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center last Sunday morning. A staggering amount of prescription drugs found in Brittany Murphy's bedroom. She was buried on Christmas Eve.
'Brokeback Mountain' actor Randy Quaid and his wife have been arrested in Marfa, Texas. The couple allegedly ran out on a $10,000 hotel bill in Santa Barbara County, Calif. They pleaded not guilty to fraud.
Taylor Swift has been voted The Associated Press Entertainer of the Year. Swift was chosen by newspaper editors and broadcast producers across the country in a survey of AP members.

After month's speculation about his drug use, Steven Tyler has admitted himself into a rehabilitation clinic. The Aerosmith frontman says the rehab stint will focus on "pain management" following an accident last summer when he broke some bones falling off a stage. Tyler has also denied claims that he is taking a hiatus from music and reiterated that he still a member of Aerosmith.
Susan Sarandon & Tim Robbins split after 23 years
Jimmy Page has confirmed that he will release a new solo record and head out on the road in 2010. According to Page, he has an entire album's worth of new material already completed and is excited to return to the stage. The former Led Zeppelin guitarist has not yet confirmed any details regarding a possible release date.
Ozzy Osbourne, never one to hide his true feelings, has officially blasted the Christmas holiday. According to the Prince of Darkness, the best Christmas he ever had was when he was unconscious back in 2003, after breaking his neck in an ATV accident. Ozzy warmly recalled his days of alcohol abuse in a recent interview, saying that the "holiday cheer" was the only good part of Christmas. "I hate Christmas, I hate it," Ozzy humbugged.
The cast members of MTV's hit show "Jersey Shore" aren't as famous as they think. Their managers have been trying to get clubs to shell out up to $10,000 for appearance fees -- but no venues are taking the bait.
