October is Breast Cancer Awareness month UNDATED (wnmu) - The month of October has been named breast cancer awareness month. Women are reminded during this time to think about their health and the importance of breast self-exams and annual mammograms. Marquette General Hospital and Excalibur Medical Imaging are coming together to offer reduced-rate mammograms during October to support and encourage women to get yearly checkups. Mammograms will be offered at Marquette General, Marquette General Medical Clinic, in Escanaba, Doctors Park Family Physicians, and Marquette Medical Clinic, in Kingsford.
