Beaumier Center to host grand-opening
(2008-09-17)
(wnmu) - The Beaumier Upper Peninsula Heritage Center at Northern Michigan University will be celebrating the grand opening of its new location. The center was in the Superior Dome and is now located on the 1st-floor of the Cohodas Building. Daniel Truckey is the Beaumier Center Director. He says they have high hopes for the future and will continue to educate people on the culture and history of the U.P. Truckey says as part of the mission of the center to make people more aware of U.P. culture, they hold exhibitions and conduct different programs on-campus. The grand opening will take place this Saturday at 7pm in suite 105 of Cohodas Hall. Admission is free and refreshments will be served.
