NMU Science Department receives donation
(2008-09-17)
(wnmu) - The Clinical Laboratory Sciences Department at Northern Michigan University has received a donation. The department was given an automated immunoassay analyzer, which measures various components of blood and serum like cholesterol, hormones, and vitamins. The analyzer was donated by Abbott Labs' "Labs are Vital" program, and is valued at $127,000. The new instrument will offer more research avenues for NMU faculty. In addition, students will be able to train on the same equipment that is found in most hospitals. © Copyright 2013, wnmu
