Chassell Township man dies in parasailing accident HOUGHTON COUNTY, MI (wnmu) - An Upper Peninsula man has died after his parasail struck a tugboat along Houghton County's Portage Canal. Authorities say the Chassell Township man died Sunday afternoon after a strong gust of wind caused him to lose control of the parasail. He fell 50-feet and struck the parked tugboat.

WLUC-TV in Marquette reports the man was attempting to parasail from the shore near a camp. His name has not been released.
