Illinois man drowns in Iron County CRYSTAL FALLS, MI (wnmu) - An Illinois man died of apparent drowning in Iron County over the weekend. The Sheriff's Office received a report of a capsized fishing boat on First Fortune Lake near Crystal Falls Friday afternoon. Deputies found a small boat submerged a short distance from the eastern side of the lake, and took the operator of the boat ashore. First aid was administered, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. He's identified as William Long, 86, of Orion, IL. The accident remains under investigation. © Copyright 2009, wnmu
