Police find bottle bomb

Marquette City Police are investigating a "bottle bomb" that was found in the city today (Thursday). Police say a suspicious object was identified in a parking lot in the 100 Block of North Front Street just before 10:30 this morning. The two-liter bottle was filled wiht liquid and a ball of tin foil. Officers were able to render it safe. According to police, bottle bombs are rarely destructive, but can be dangerous. Makers of the device can often receive chemical burns because of hte instability of the products used. Anyone with any information regarding the incident is asked to call the Marquette Police at 228-0400
