Delta County teen arrested for drug possession
(2008-09-11)
(wnmu) - A 16-year-old male on probation has been arrested for marijuana possession in Delta County. Troopers from the Gladstone post stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation in Bark River Wednesday night around 11:30 p.m. Investigation revealed open beer in the car. When the occupants were removed so officers could search the vehicle they found marijuana on one of the passengers. The teen fled the scene on foot, but troopers caught him only 200 yards away.

Officers found out the teen had been on probation and a tether, but had cut the tether a few days earlier and had become a runaway. He's currently lodged at the Bay Pines Center for juvenile offenders on charges of Possession of Marijuana, Minor in Possession of Alcohol, and Resisting and Obstructing a Police Officer. The driver of the vehicle was also lodged for Operating under the Influence of Drugs.
