Three Finlandia Alumni join professional hockey

(wnmu) - Three Finlandia University alumni have been signed to professional hockey contracts. All three of the alumni were regulars on the MCHA All-Academic team. The alumni include; Travis Hanson, who has been re-signed by the Cincinnati Cyclones, an east-coast hockey league. He helped the Cincinnati team win a league championship on June 5th, 2008 against Las Vegas, and he was also team captain at Finlandia for 2 years, Josh Paquette, who has been signed by the New Mexico Scorpions, a central hockey league. He helped lead Finlandia to a Harris Cup championship in 2007 and to a second-straight title game appearance in 2008, and Ryan Sullivan, who has joined Paquette on the Scorpions team. Sullivan was the Finlandia Lions Team's MVP player a year ago and was also an all-conference performer on the ice.
