Ford River Boating Access temporarily closed
During construction, boaters and anglers may access Little Bay de Noc from facilities in Wells at the north shore launch and at Escanaba's Ludington Park Aronson Island launch. Funding for the projects are through the Michigan State Waterways Fund.

The Department of Natural Resources has announced that the Ford River Boating Access site will be closing for construction. The access point which is located in Delta County will be under construction starting next Monday and should be completed on September 26th. The construction will work on upgrading the current ramp by installing a new 36 foot wide by 70 foot long concrete ramp and a new 5 foot by 30 foot universally accessible courtesy fishing pier. In addition, there will be installation of a new ADA compliant vault toilet and re-establishment of the parking lot area.
