The City of Marquette has closed McCarty's Cove and South Beach Wednesday, 8/27. Officials say the move comes because of scheduling conflicts with the start of classes at Northern Michigan University. the beaches will reopen Thursday, 8/28 at noon, and will remain open through the Labor Day weekend.
