The Michigan Department of Transporation has begun a new construction project. MDOT is building a 20-space carpool lot. The construction is near the intersection of M35 and M553 in Marquette County. The project started on August 11th and will finish on August 30th. There will be no parking allowed in the lot until the project is completed. When finished, MDOT says the lot will offer expanded ridesharing opportunities for motorists in the area.
