Northern Michigan University has received a federal grant. The funds are part of an exchange program to prepare U.S. and Brazilian students for careers in entrepreneurship, corporate social responsibility, and sustainable economic development. The grant totals $220,000 and will last 4 years. About 20 U.S. students and 20 Brazilian students are expected to participate in the program. The funding is coming from the U.S. Department of Education's fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education and CAPES, the Brazilian Ministry of Education.
