Gladstone teachers still hoping for contract
Mike Lagina is co-chair of the Professional Negotiation Team with the Gladstone Education Association. He says the school board made a counter-offer, but there was little difference between it and others the board proposed.
Both sides meet again Tuesday at 6 p.m. Lagina notes teachers voted last spring to take a No Contract, No Work stance. That means a work stoppage will occur if an agreement isn't reached by the time classes are scheduled to begin.
