Escanaba government office gets suspicious package
(2008-07-18)
ESCANABA, MI
(wnmu) -
It's not a bomb. That's according to Michigan State Police at the Gladstone post, who were alerted to a suspicious envelope received by the Attorney General's Office in Escanaba. The CD-sized envelope with a foreign address arrived at the office Thursday. Officials say it seemed to deviate from mail the office normally receives, so it was isolated and an MSP Bomb Unit from Lansing was called up. Around 11:00 p.m. the envelope was opened, but all that was found was a CD. It will be examined to determine its content, and the incident remains under investigation.
