The Michigan Farm Bureau is endorsing Tom Casperson in the August 1st primary for the 1st District House of Representatives seat. The MFB's political action committee, AgriPac, calls the Escanaba Republican a "Friend of Agriculture." AgriPac says Casperson has demonstrated beliefs and actions consistent with the farmer-developed policy of the MFB. It says party affiliation has no bearing on its decision.Casperson is running for the seat currently held by U.S. Representative Bart Stupak.
