MARQUETTE COUNTY, MI
(wnmu) -
Two men were slightly injured, after they fell off of some rocks on Lake Superior over the weekend. State Police from the Negaunee post say the incident occurred Sunday afternoon between Wetmore Landing and Sugarloaf Mountain in Marquette County. Troopers say the accident involved Anders Gillis, 22, and John Taylor, 24--both of Marquette. They were standing on the rocks, Gillis at a lower level than Taylor, preparing to jump when Taylor slipped and fell onto Gillis. Taylor complained of chest pain and difficulty breathing, while Gillis injured his left knee. The men were rescued by Coast Guard personnel and transported to Marquette's Upper Harbor, then taken to Marquette General Hospital. Both were treated and released. © Copyright 2013, wnmu
