A Mackinaw City fire has severely damaged at least one business. The fire broke out on Central Avenue at mid-afternoon. At least four departments were helping battle the flames while tourists packed the sidewalk across the street to watch. Along with the t-shirt shop, other businesses may have been damaged as well. In 2005, a fire had destroyed the building the housed a pizza restaurant and the Mackinac Bridge museum.
