Gread Lakes Rodeo adopts alcohol policy
(2008-06-13)
(wnmu) - Community groups in Marquette County are giving the thumbs-up to an alcohol service policy at the Great Lakes Rodeo this weekend. The rodeo is using "0-0-1-3" as a guideline for drinking at family-friendly events. The numbers represent no alcohol for people under 21 years of age, no driving under the influence, one alcoholic beverage per hour, and no more than three beverages at one event.

Jim Harrington is chair of the Marquette County Coalition for Substance Abuse and Violence Prevention. He says the group is pleased to see the Skandia Lions have adopted the policy for all events this summer where they'll volunteer to serve alcohol.

The rodeo takes place June 14 and 15 at the Marquette County Fairgrounds.
