One person is dead, following a one-vehicle accident in Marquette County. Troopers from the Negaunee post say the incident occurred around 2:00 a.m. Monday morning on Kloman Avenue near Seventh Street in Republic Township. An eastbound vehicle driven by Michael Granlund, 61, of Republic drifted off the roadway and crashed into a brick column at the Republic Cemetery. He was the only person involved in the accident, which remains under investigation.
