State Representative Tom Casperson has filed nominating petitions for the U.S. House seat in the First Congressional District. The Escanaba Republican filed 1,700 petitions with the Secretary of State's Office' Tuesday for the seat currently held by Bart Stupak. Casperson was first elected to represent the 108th District in 2002. He currently serves as the minority vice chair of the House Tourism Committee.
