The Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians Police Chief has been suspended from his job--again. Fred Paquin was first suspended last fall during an investigation into accusations he had assaulted a tribal woman. The matter ended in a "deferred prosecution," contingent upon Paquin not getting arrested. Details are few regarding the current investigation, which is underway by the FBI and Bureau of Indian Affairs Criminal Investigative Unit.
