Several Upper Peninsula school districts had ballot proposals during statewide elections Tuesday. All millages for school district operations across the U.P. have passed. Delta County voters also approved borrowing $1.9 million to remodel the Mid-Peninsula school building.
Residents in the Lake Linden-Hubbell School Cistrict in Houghton County approved a bond proposal worth $3.5 million to remodel the high school and elementary school, and improve physical education facilities.
In Ontonagon County, voters approved a proposal to borrow $425,000 for sidewalk improvements and the purchase of buses for Ewen-Trout Creek Schools, but defeated a $4.3 million proposal for additions, remodeling, and improvements to buildings in the Ontonagon Schools District.
