Police search for Sawyer suspect
The subject is believed to be a Honduran male, described as 5'7" tall, lean, and dark-complected with short, dark, curly hair. He was last seen wearing black, baggy jeans, a gray fleece jacket, white tennis shoes, and a gold necklace. The subject was last seen in the area of County Road 492 near the old Acocks Facility Sunday night.
State police are asking people to take normal security precautions, such as locking their doors, windows, and vehicles. Anyone who sees the suspect is asked to call authorities by dialing 911.

State Police from the Negaunee post are searching for a man in connection with an assault at Sawyer. Troopers say the incident in which a 28-year-old man was stabbed in the abdomen by a co-worker happened Friday around 10:45 p.m. The wound required surgery, but the victim is expected to recover.
