Nearly one thousand Northern Michigan University students will graduate this semester, during spring commencement exercises Saturday. Out of the 950 eligible to walk, around 800 are expected to take part in the ceremony. Senior Vice-President of online travel company Orbitz, Jim Shaughnessy, is a 1975 alumnus and this semester's commencement speaker. Commencement exercises take place Saturday, May 3 at 10:30 a.m. at the Superior Dome.
