State Officials say corporations and individuals still owe the state money in back taxes. The amount totals to nearly $700 million. The Department of Revenue began posting the names of delinquent tax-payers who owed $25,000 or more online. This year the cut-off amount was lowered to $5,000. Last fall, Department of Revenue officials sent out warning letters to those affected by the new cutoff. Department of Revenue spokeswoman Jessica Iverson says the website has pushed tax-payers to pay off their back taxes in order to keep their names from being publically posted.
