This week focused on Smart Money in Michigan
(2008-04-23)
(wnmu) - This week marks the state's annual Michigan Money Smart Week. The Federal Reserve in Chicago and Minneapolis began the program, which now aims to be an educational tool for Michigan residents.

Nicole Dewald is a youth educator at the Michigan State University extension office in Negaunee. She says it's important for residents to learn how to accommodate change in today's uncertain times. A presentation entitled "Financial Future: The Buck Stops Here" will be held Thursday in Marquette. Dewald says it's aimed toward college students and young adults, and will entail discussion on the state of the economy and the economic stimulus package. The workshop takes place at 4:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Library in Marquette.
