The Michigan Department of Transportation Ishpeming Transportation Services Center will be presenting several road projects tomorrow at 6pm at the Champion Township fire hall. Road projects are planned for US-41 in the Champion area. Plans will include: construction of a center left-turn lane and carpool lot at M-95 intersection and resurfacing US-41 from County road AKE to Green road. In addition the Canadian National Railroad Crossing will be reconstructed for a non-motorized pathway from Champion to Van Riper State Park. Construction is scheduled to begin May 1st and be completed by October 31st. © Copyright 2013, wnmu
