NMU to host Consulate General of Japan

The Consulate General of Japan for Michigan and Ohio will be giving a presentation at Northern Michigan University. Tamotsu Shinotsuka will discuss Japan-United States relations in the Michigan room of the University Center from 2 to 3:30pm this Thursday. Admission is free and all are encouraged to attend. Shinotsuka started as a diplomat with Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1974. He has worked at the Embassies of Japan in Austria, Germany and Pakistan. In addition, he has also worked as Director of International Cooperation departing at the National Institute for research advancement in 2003 and finally settled in Detroit in 2006 where he works as consulate general. © Copyright 2013, wnmu
