FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, MI
(wnmu) -
Franklin Township will be working towards making the Quincy Smelter site economically viable. The Environmental Protection Agency will be helping take action by cleaning the Smelter site of asbestos. Glenn Ekdahl is the Franklin Township Supervisor. He says the project will take a long time but in the end will be worth it. He says the goals are to preserve the site and hopefully put in new shops in the building. Ekdahl says the site is very unique but has been idle since around 1968. He adds that they are very excited for the project to start and he believes it will be a big step for the community in the future. © Copyright 2013, wnmu
