KEWEENAW COUNTY, MI
(wnmu) -
The Copper Harbor Trails Club in Keweenaw County is seeking more trail acreage. The land they are looking to purchase totals about 1,760 acres. Sam Raymond is the chief promoter of the club. He says the current trails provide several fun activities for visitors and residents, and the new land would also help the county economically. Raymond says the total cost of the project would be $2.8 million. He notes a grant from the Michigan Natural Resources trust fund would help with 75% of the costs. © Copyright 2013, wnmu
