Marquette General Hospital,and Northern Michigan University, are collaborating on laboratory studies. The program will focus on Cytogenetics which is the study of chromosomes and Molecular Pathology or the study of DNA. Lucille Contois is head of the Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences at NMU. She says the partnership began with the Medical Director Dr.Sasi and will benefit Marquette General, NMU, and the Marquette community. Contois says the program will present great opportunities for students studying in the field and create promising employment prospects for current majors.
