NMU School of Respiratory Therapy Opens
(2008-01-22)
(wnmu) - Marquette General and Northern Michigan University have opened a school of Respiratory Therapy. The program was put together because of the demand for it in the Upper Peninsula. The program's director, Lesa Bozek, says that the need for respiratory therapists is high and anyone who would want a position in this field could find work. Bozek adds that the maximum of students for the classes is ten students, so far five have signed up. NMU will provide academic background and confer the associates degree while Marquette General will be responsible for the 2-year clinical education. The program starts in Fall of 2008.
