With the winter season beginning, animal owners are reminded to take special care of their animals. Veterinarian Tim Hunt listed a few things that animal owners will need to remember. He says preparing your animals and their home environment for the winter makes all the difference between a healthy animal and a sick animal. Hunt adds that a few things animal-owners can do are; change their water often to avoid freezing, put wind-breakers up for farm animals, let animals get used to weather, do not expose them to sudden climate changes, and be aware that animals can get frostbite just as easily as humans.© Copyright 2013, wnmu
