The Lake Superior Community Partnership presented an economic development review to Marquette. The two largest increases in jobs were in manufacturing and small businesses. CEO of the partnership Amy Clickner, says the economy for Michigan is not looking good for the next few years, however Marquette will continue to work with companies and focus on growth and expansion. Clickner adds that despite beliefs, much of the economic growth comes from small businesses and that the partnership's Plus-One program helps recognize those companies.© Copyright 2013, wnmu
