Soo moves ahead with economic study
Officials will begin meeting with key players in the community to further develop and refine the economic plan.

The city of Sault Ste. Marie is moving ahead with the next phase of an economic and feasibility assessment. City Manager Spencer Nebel says the first phase began earlier this year, with focus groups and discussions with area economic stakeholders. He says the second phase will identify specific goals the city and Chippewa County want to achieve in the next five years. Nebel says Sault Ste. Marie's status as an international border city and the home of Lake Superior State University will benefit the area.Officials will begin meeting with key players in the community to further develop and refine the economic plan.
