AT&T Gives Support to the Upper Peninsula
(2007-12-11)
(wnmu) - AT&T is giving it's support to three Upper Peninsula non-profit organizations. the Eastern Upper Peninsula Learning Center in Brimley has received $25,000 as part of the AT&T Excelerator Competitive Technology Grant Program. Susie Schlehuber is the Director of the Learning Center. She says the money will go toward online tutoring for area students, which will save everyone time and money by allowing students to log on and get the help they need when they need it and for how long they need it. Schlehuber says the center hopes to have the online-tutoring available to students by February 1st of 2008. Also receiving money are the Ironwood Carnegie Library and Upcap Services of Escanaba. © Copyright 2013, wnmu
