Mental Illness Awareness Week
Grenke says society should start looking at mental illness as more of a chemical imbalance and not something people can simply get over. He says the most important message people should learn during this week is that mental illness is no one's fault and those suffering are not alone.

This week is National Mental Illness Awareness week. Members of the Marquette-Alger chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Health are using the week to create awareness for mental illness and the issues surrounding it. Herb Grenke is on the board of directors with the Marquette chapter of NAMI. hHe says the group wants to try and rid society of stigmas against mental illness and help get insurance to those who need it.Grenke says society should start looking at mental illness as more of a chemical imbalance and not something people can simply get over. He says the most important message people should learn during this week is that mental illness is no one's fault and those suffering are not alone.
