CALUMET, MI
(wnmu) -
Troopers from the Calumet post are moving operations to another building and another town. Rent for the current building became too expensive, and the State decided to relocate the post. Post Commander First Lieutenant Mike Lloyd says troopers are moving to the former 911 dispatch center in Laurium. He says it will be a tight squeeze, as the new building has only a third of the space of the previous post. The new building is owned by Houghton County. Troopers expect to be fully moved into their new post by Friday.
