Officials with the Presque Isle Advisory Committee are looking for ways to prevent further erosion at the park. The committee has gone to the Marquette City Commission asking for ideas and recommendations on how to deal with the issue. Hugh Leslie is the park and recreation director in Marquette. He says the committee has also asked city residents what they thought was important to work on at the park. He says most residents agreed that preserving the road throughout the park is a priority. Leslie says four companies submitted proposals on where to start tackling the problem.
