Big Brothers Big Sisters of Marquette County has gotten a boost from the U.S. Department of Education. The $183,000 grant will be used for school-based mentoring between October of this year and September of next year. The program serves young people in Marquette and Alger counties by establishing one-to-one relationships. The aim of Big Brothers Big Sisters is to provide friendship, emotional support, and guidance.
