Provisions made to the Homeland Security Funding Bill authored by state senator carl levin were passed in the senate last week. Levin's points included the establishment of an International Border Community Interoperable Communications Project along both northern and southern michigan borders. Also included in the bill was a provision for an increase of border agents on the northern border by over 2,000 officials.
