One person is dead, following a two-vehicle accident in Chippewa County. Troopers from the Sault Ste. Marie post say the incident occurred Tuesday around noon at the intersection of M-28 and M-123 in Chippewa Township. One vehicle was carrying four people, while the other contained two. All were taken to War Memorial Hospital, where a 44-year-old female passenger was pronounced dead. Police do not believe alcohol is a factor in the accident, which remains under investigation.
