NMU Public Safety issued a security alert Wednesday, following an unarmed robbery on campus. Officials say the incident occurred around 11 a.m. between the Hedgcock Building and Jamrich Hall. The suspect pushed the female victim to the ground, then stole her purse. The man is described as a 20-year-old white male with a thin build and short brown hair. He was wearing long jean shorts and a white t-shirt, and has a scar on the back of his head. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call NMU Public Safety at 227-2151.
