Crackdown conducted on selling to minors
(2007-07-05)
MARQUETTE COUNTY, MI
(wnmu) -
Marquette County law enforcement agencies are cracking down on businesses that sell alcohol to minors. Officials recently conducted random liquor license compliance checks on nine area businesses. Working with plainclothes and uniformed officers, underage youth entered the establishments and tried to buy alcohol. Officials say five businesses refused to sell to the minors, but four did let the youth purchase alcohol. The infractions have been referred to 96th District Court and the Michigan Liquor Control Commission for appropriate action.
