Two people were injured in a one-vehicle accident in Marquette county over the weekend. Troopers from the Negaunee post say the incident occurred Saturday around 9:50 p.m. on County Road 573 near County Road CA. The driver of the vehicle lost control on a curve and struck a tree. The driver was uninjured, and lodged in the Marquette County Jail for Driving While Intoxicated. The back-seat passenger an 18-year-old woman from Ishpeming was treated at Bell Hospital for minor injuries. The front-seat passenger a 21-year-old Ishpeming man was also treated for minor injuries, then arrested by Ishpeming Police on an outstanding criminal bench warrant.
