The Upper Peninsula Children's Museum has received a financial boost from a local foundation. The Louis G. Kaufman Endowment Fund has provided $3,000. Museum Director Nheena Weyer Ittner says $2,000 will be used to buy supplies for children's programs, and $1,000 will be used to fund the Playmaker's Club, which provides free memberships to families in need. Weyer Ittner says $750 has also been slated for the 8-18 Media youth news bureau.To donate to the Playmaker's Club or apply for the program, download a form from www.upcmkids.org, or call 226-3911.
